Virginia Haefner Wark - was born in Albany, New York in 1937. Married in 1955, she is now the mother of nine grown children and grandmother of twenty grandchildren. Virginia has been writing poetry since she was a very young child. Over the years, she has accumulated many awards and her poems have been published in magazines and anthologies.
When the grandchildren started coming along, it became a yearly tradition to present her grandchildren with a new Christmas Story Book which she would not only write but illustrate as well.  Now, lovingly called "Mamsie" by her many grandchildren, her books have become part of their family Christmas celebration and are read and displayed in every family household. 
Loved by all who read them, "Mamsie" would now like to share them with children all over the world.
